When you write in, it helps to include your device and OS version, the DartPDF version (Settings → About), and the steps that led to the problem. If a specific PDF is involved and you're able to share it, that speeds things up — but it's never required.

Common questions

Where do my changes save? Edits — markup, form fills, signatures, redaction, page changes, and text/image edits — save back to the original PDF on your device. Nothing is uploaded; there's no account or sync.

How do I open a PDF? Open DartPDF and pick a file, open a PDF from the Files app, send one to DartPDF from another app's share sheet, or drag and drop a file onto the window.

Can I open password-protected PDFs? Yes. DartPDF prompts for the password and opens encrypted files for viewing and editing.

How does OCR work? Optical character recognition runs entirely on your device. On first use the app downloads the recognition model, then all processing happens locally — your pages are never sent to a server.

Is my data private? Yes. DartPDF has no analytics, no ads, no accounts, and no servers. See the privacy policy for the details.
